Earlier this month, I did a music review on Australian native and rapper, Nick de la Hoyde. You can check out what I had to say about his singles “By My Side” and “The Longest Way” here. Now I’m back to talk about Nick’s EP which dropped June 30th of this year.
The EP is called “Passion”, and it includes “By My Side” and “The Longest Way” along with 4 other selections that I’m sure you will enjoy. The sound of the EP has been described as hip hop, pop, and alternative rock all blended together. It kind of reminds me of Kendrick Lamar meets Imagine Dragon. However you want to descript it…it’s a representation of Nick’s hard work and perseverance to make it in the music industry. The songs on the EP describe Nick’s passion and expression of his dreams and determinations.
This EP was a true “family affair”. Nick’s brothers Joseph and John de la Hoyde produced the EP along with hip hop producer, Lemonye “LA” Alexander. You can check out Nick’s website to listen to more of his music, and as always let me know what you think.
